This project was brought into me in 2011. Customer wanted get his reissue Vibroverb to sound less sterile and more "vintage". I recommended changing the plateload resistors to carbon comps and the coupling caps in the tone-stack to Sozos. I also upgraded the filtering and decoupling caps since the board was removed. We also went with some NOS pre-amp tubes. I have done these mods to a few '63 RI VV's throughout the years. Adding a tube rectifier would get it much closer tonally to the original, but that is not a cheap option.
