1967 Fender Dual Showman:
Yikes. Where to begin. A customer brought this one to me recently. He bought it years ago. Unfortunately, someone really had their hands in this one. A lot of changed parts, but I figured I could get this one to really rip.
All hodge-podge parts removed and chassis cleaned. Note that I did NOT clean and remove the ORIGINAL date code stamps.
Transformer wiring sorted out. Note the correct cloth-covered filament wire now coming from the pilot lamp.
New upgraded ceramic sockets, grid resistors and 3-watt Screen resistors installed.
Power section wiring complete. Nice and tight and correct now.
Replaced PI coupling caps with Mallory's and Spragues along with a correct 3-prong cord conversion. Amp is nice and LOUD now! This project was completed in 2008.
