This project was brought into me in 2010. Had an AC-15 fanatic that was wanting his reissue to really thump. I recommended modifying the circuit slightly to match the original AC-15. As you can see, I had to shoehorn some of the parts in there. I also recommended adding a choke and a new output transformer. Customer picked out a Mercury Magnetics VXC and VXO-15A-L OT.
Chassis underside with the drilled and mounted Mercury Magnetics trannies. These changes really woke this amp up. After hearing the mods I did on this amp, TWO MORE friends of this customer brought their AC-15s in here to get them set up the exact same way. Can't argue with great tone.
